News: June
league win!: I’ve only had verbal confirmation (as in, I don’t have it in writing yet), but unless Jim Head changes his mind for some reason we’ve won the league with 6 wins and one cancellation. Congratulations to everyone who played!
kit: Our lovely new kit has arrived, but some people have yet to collect theirs. Tumelo - get in touch now!
Linacre All-Stars contest: Merton II cancelled a match at late notice, so we held a Linacre All-Stars batting contest. Each player faced three overs from three different bowlers, and lost 10 runs for each time they were out. A fine time was had by all, but there had to be a winner, and that was Adam Gamsa with 30 runs. The full results: Adam Gamsa 30, Jason Wong 26, Andy Armitage 22, Tom Wrobel 22, Jeremy Taylor 19, Rob Devereux 9, Richard Rowley 8, Russell Ewings -33.

ground update: After a lot of hard work by Patrick, we now have a ground! We’ll be playing our home matches at Corpus, nets sessions will be announced soon.
first match: We beat Keble JCR by 12 runs, see the match report.
kit: We’ll be getting some sweaters with black and yellow trim and the Linacre crest (they're acrylic, made by Slazenger and cost £27.50 for long sleeve, £25 short sleeve). We’re also getting some caps, which should cost around £10. They’re cricket caps, but with quite a modern baseball style look (the gray nichols pro performance cap, to be exact). They’ll be black with the Linacre crest and (like the sweater) Linacre College Cricket Club lettering. See Tom Wrobel for a sample. Get your orders in now!

promotion: As a result of last season’s heroics, we are now in the 2nd XI 1st Division! Congratulations to everyone who played last year.
nets: Due to the university clamping down on the use of the nets in the parks, we'll have to wait on news from Corpus on Linacre nets. However, everyone who is a member of the University Club can come along to University club nets on Tuesdays and Thursdays (6.00 - 7.30), where you’ll normally find one or two people from Linacre.
2004 awards: The votes are in, and the winners will be announced at the next social event.
social event: This is currently planned for Thursday of 1st week, but we don't have any firm plans as yet...watch this space!
